Saundra McGee

I’m one of the original members and have held the office of Secretary since our organization has been in existence. Fiction, romance, historical romance, and generational novels are the genres that attract my attention. I also enjoy suspense, mystery, biographies, and poetry.
Nothing suits me better than to put myself right in the middle of the setting and the time period of the novel I happen to be reading. I am so intrigued with the imagination of some of my favorite authors that I have decided that I will probably never write a book, something that I always thought I wanted to do. I have however, developed an interest in copy editing, and have actually read the manuscripts of a couple of emerging authors.

There are several extra activities that I enjoy, which include volunteering at our local library with author appearances, workshops, etc. Reading and promoting literacy with another literary organization (Essence Reading Group), and acting as secretary for my Sunday School Class and Missionary Circle. August of this year, I will celebrate a total of 27 years in the Aviation Industry. Currently, I work as a Network Provisioning Analyst for EDS. My husband Larry and I have been blessed to be happily married for 35 years, and have 2 adult sons that we are very proud of. I enjoy collecting motivating quotes, and have almost filled my quote journal.
