I am very honored to be a member and Treasurer of SST. I attended my First meeting in January 2003 just to observe so that I could start my own Book club. During the meeting, I was so impressed with the way they Functioned as a family rather than a group, that I knew right then that I wanted to become a member. I was privileged to attend our first anniversary retreat that was held at Simpler Times Inn, a lakeside B&B. It was one of the most memorable weekends that I have ever spent with a bunch of sisters. I've been married to my soul mate, and best friend Ken, for 35 short years. We have three children, and 8 grandbabies, all boys which are the highlight of my life. Needless to say, sleepovers are a major event in my family.

I've been retired for 7 years from Texaco after 28 years of service, which gave me the opportunity to become an Interior Decorator, a life long dream. In addition to being the Coordinator and Founder of the "Between Friends" book club. Other community involvement includes being Vice President of the "Chamberlain Community Center Advisory Committee", a member of the District 5 Planning committee and, I attend a Ceramics class with a great bunch of gals. At this point in my life all of my hobbies have turned into some sort of exercise program, water aerobics, step, palates, and gym 5 times a week, anything to try and stay in shape. So to relax, I visit my son's home in Arizona a few times a year where he and his family totally pamper and royally spoil me during my stay. I was thrilled to be on the SST Executive Reunion Committee as well as The Decorating Committee; I loved working on the 2005 reunion and hope that everyone received as much pleasure out of attending as we did putting it together.
