Maryam Ali

I have been a member of SST since the Tulsa chapter started in March of 2002. It is a privilege and honor to be a member of a book club with so many diverse Sistahs that I have grown to love. I enjoy reminding everyone that they are a year older on their birthdays. I am responsible for bringing the birthday cakes.

I am happily married to my best friend, Jamal. We have one adult son, Jamal Jr. and three beautiful grandchildren that are the apple of our eyes.

I have a newly acquired hobby and it is riding the motorcycle with my husband. I never thought I would enjoy riding the motorcycle but I must admit it’s been lots of fun. Reading is by far my favorite hobby. I enjoy mysteries more than any other Genre; I love the suspense. I also love traveling. I have been blessed to work in the travel industry for 12 years, and I love it very much.
