Ebony Farashuu Ebony Farashuu, a Tulsa, Oklahoma native is a spoken word poet, published author,and part owner of PrivateLibrary.net, a website dedicated to exposing new and unpublished authors. In 2003, she received Honorable mention in the Self Published Author Awards Poetry Book of the Year for her debut book: Butterfly Kisses: Poetry for the Many Faces of Love. Ebony has been a member of Sisters Sippin Tea's Tulsa Chapter since 2002 And credits her sisters in reading as being a constant source of encouragement. while Ebony loves performing her poetry in public, she revels in her home life where she is simply "mama" to her 9 year old daughter, Kannon and 7 year old son, Darrell. She currently works as a computer tech specialist for a major company but dreams of the day when she can retire her headset and pick up her pen full- time. Normally a very sociable person, Ebony refuses to answer her telephone on Monday nights between the hours of 8pm and 9pm CST because she is addicted to the television show; 24! Other hobbies include singing in the shower, dancing, reading, cooking, and of course, writing. She is currently seeking to publish her first full length novel.
